Did this girl like me?

heres a girl that i like and don't know and we both have been staring at each other for about a month. she would stare at me with this blank look on her face. i 've tried many times to ask her for her number and pussied out. i could tell she was trying to get my attention but would always ignore it. she would smile, blush, and gather up with a small group of friends. also when my friends would say my name she would turn her head around. I asked my friends to tell her if she liked me but she said she didnt know who i was. school has just eneded and i feel really bummed out for not approaching her. i know people who have her number but i feel scared to ask for it bacuase if her friends said no or said you were the one staring at her i would feel so embarrassed and stupid. idk what to do anymore i feel hopeless. i keep on asking myself if she was as shy as me or did she think i was some creep checking her out? help!! oh and i cant find her on facebook
