Is it safe to travel with fire extinguishers in the back of a rental truck?

I'm moving and I have two small kitchen ABC fire extinguishers that I would like take with me. Will the heat in the back of the rental truck effect these extinguishers? Could they explode? Traveling 1400 miles, 2 or 3 days, through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma (hot). Thanks?
