What is your view of this Zen saying: If you meet the Buddha on the road…kill him!?

The key to the Buddha’s statement is centered behind the words “you” and “Buddha.” If you are, then conceptions create images on your travels and Buddha is a state of Being. Kill the images and Buddha-hood becomes possible.
