How old is my brass fire extinguisher? ?

I was diving in Seattles Lake Union and found a very old fire extinguisher. It is a brass Stempel pistol grip. It had carbon tetrachloride in it and I'm curious about how old it could be. It appears to have been at the bottom of the lake for a very long time.
