Fire Extinguisher from 1995. Any danger? Or better than nothing?

Preparing for a road trip and picked up a fire extinguisher which was made in 1995 but more than likely refilled since then, though I don't know what year. I assume it poses no danger in the trunk of the car and could be better than nothing should it ever be necessary on the trip.
