the only other way is to get a chisel and hammer and cut the housing off the oil filter, there should be a hex key bolt or something of that nature in the centre of the housing, undo this and you should be able to get the rest of the filter off.. i have had to do this to my mums car, after thinking about it the mechanics that serviced the car few days before mustnt have done the filter... shocking.. anyway enjoy and DONT USE the gas axe
